For the tenth consecutive summer, Paul Harbin’s UAB Girls Soccer Camp is proud to offer a specialized goalkeeper camp in addition to the well-regarded Residential/Commuter Camp. Please register early as space in this session will be limited to 18-20 goalkeepers. Last year’s session was full several months prior to the start of camp.

This goalkeeper camp will take the best of all worlds of keeper camps. It will have the heavy concentration of the traditional goalkeeper only camps while adding the experience that can only be gained in a team environment.

Goalkeepers will get two full training sessions per day, then will be integrated with the rest of the camp for games in the evening. The training sessions will include the same methodology used to train top level collegiate goalkeepers. Training topics will include the following:

Proper Stance

Shape

Footwork

Receiving Balls Properly

Collapse Dives

Forward Dives

Breakaways

Extended Dives

Crosses

Angles

Distribution

Reading the game

Particular care will be made to insure that every camper will be challenged at each progression based on their individual abilities.

Each goalkeeper will receive a full written evaluation at the end of the week.
