**Cancelled due to forecast of rain and lightning today and tomorrow ALABAMA HS PRESEASON CAMP - Open to Boys and Girls Grades 7-12 Homewood Soccer Park, Homewood, Ala. January 20 & 21, 2012 The High School Preseason Camp is designed to give each individual player a competitive edge by focusing them on the technical skills critically important to succeed at the next level. The training and playing environment will assure a maximum number of touches on the ball in a demanding and enjoyable competitive environment. In each of the three sessions, groups will go through two separate 25 minute technical sessions and follow that with two separate 25 minute games of small sided play centered on the particular skills taught in the technical sessions (eg. clean first touches, valuing possession, composure under pressure, technical finishing options, etc.). The games will be 6v6 with goalkeepers and played in a format that involves constant rotation of the three groups of six in each match. There are no breaks in play. The set-up puts a premium on possession, encourages risk taking in the attack, demands quick transitions, and keeps players focused on every minute of the game whether on or off the field. In between the two Saturday sessions, we will hold a college recruiting educational session for all players in attendance. The session will also include a question and answer session. Parents are welcome to attend. - A light lunch will be provided on Saturday. The camp fee is $75 and will include a camp T-shirt for each individual. Camp will be held at Homewood Soccer Park (1800 S.
